Event 2: Barter Players Theatre – “I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas”
Seating begins: 1:30 PM
Showtime: 2:00 PM
The talented Barter Players bring holiday joy with their performance of “I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas.” In true Barter Theatre spirit, admission is by donation:
Monetary gift or
Canned goods (especially tuna or chicken, spaghetti sauce, or mac ‘n cheese)
All donations benefit the Mendota Food Pantry, compassionately managed by Maria Williamson and Angie Thompson. The pantry serves 60–80 families each month, and every contribution makes a difference.
With seating for about 300 guests, we’d love to fill every seat in the house!
❤️ Let’s Make It a Mendota Tradition
We hope you’ll join us for one or both events. It’s a wonderful chance to enjoy good food, good company, and good cheer — all while supporting the heart of our community.
If this day goes as beautifully as we think it will, it could become a new annual Mendota holiday tradition!
